Technician - Mechanical -- 5 years experience with boat and yacht systems, navigation and electronics packages. Knowledge of engineering and technology -- This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various electrical, plumbing and hydraulic systems that are aboard boats and yachts. Familiar with all phases of marine electronic/ tech installations. You will have excellent communication skills and a desire to succeed. . Experience and installation on most all on board systems. Most yachts are between 55 to 85+; mostly sail but some power vessels too. Bi-Lingual a plus, but not necessary. This position can be physically demanding and requires a strong mechanical ability, creativity and attention to detail. A willingness to cross train in as many shop functions as possible is important.
Laminator - 2 positions available - Knowledge of all composite lamination processes. Understands epoxy systems and fiber layout. Measures layers of fiberglass or composite on molds to form boat decks and hulls, or fiberglass parts. Familiar with carbon, kevlar and other fiber reinforcement materials. Familiar with various core laminate materials such as Nomex, Balsa, and Airex foams, and can cut and layout according to specifications. Knowledge of vacuum bag process, some knowledge of pre-preg adhesive films also good. Familiar with cutting hardened fiberglass from mold with trimming knife. Removal of hulls and decks from mold. May inspect, clean, and assemble molds prior to start of work. May apply wax to surface of mold to facilitate assembly and removal of laminated parts. May apply resin to surfaces of mold prior to placement of fiberglass mats.
Carpenter - We are looking for an experienced craftsman to join our team as a carpenter/boatbuilder. Must be self motivated, dependable and have effective time management skills. Must also be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to maintain a clean shop throughout the day. Perform all work within the parameters outlined in the safety manual. Maintain a commitment to teamwork and cross training. Maintain all tools and equipment. A willingness to cross train in as many shop functions as possible is important. You will be working from prints, drawings, sketches and even photos, using the finest woods, to build and install custom moldings, cabinets and built-in furniture for the interiors of custom boats
Purchasing Assistant - Assistant purchasing agent/inventory control person. Must be computer literate with at least 5 years experience in purchasing and inventory control, good communication skills, organized, must be energetic and easy to work with.
